Roman Advancements Came In Many Ways
With the wonders of an advancing society, came many innovations in common life.
With the improvements in how people
lived, there were some key inventions
that shaped the way how society's quality
progressed. From paved roads, to aqueducts,
many improvements came and cemented
their place in modern communities everywhere.
With the innovation of something as simple
movement, and general travel became
something much easier, with having paths
that spanned the entire peninsula of Italy.
The idea of also having running water
coming from a source where the water
was always fresh, seemed like a dream
to us all, but now with aqueducts, those
dreams are a thing of the past. Stone
structures called aqueducts carry
water down from mountains to the
cities of Italy, bringing water for all
purposes. Speaking of other purposes
for water, bath houses are something
booming all around, allowing people to bathe and clean up.
The Driving Force Of Rome
Rome wasn't built in a day you know.
The power it also built up certainly wasn't obtained in a day either.
Rome wasn't always as powerful as it is in our time of the Pax Romana. Sure, it was powerful for quite the time, reaching over from the deserts of Africa, to the deserts of the Middle East, and much of the land in between. Now however, the Roman empire has never been better, with its many innovations (such as aqueducts, paved roads, and many more!)
This is thanks to efforts of many, this was achie
ved, but without the ringleader of it all, Augustus,
the Rome we know today may have never been!
When his uncle Caesar was murdered he
really took the reins of the empire and put his power
to full effect. Conquering more territories
in Africa and surrounding nations, he really
demonstrated a commanding hand, that
knew what it was doing. He lead Rome into
the time of Pax Romana (meaning roman peace),
which was a time of the highest amounts
of prosperity in the empire of Rome.
